Freestyle skateboarding is always the top priority at the event, but the Championships wouldn’t be the same without the accompanying supporting programme.
This time it’s back to the roots of the event: The “Global Jam” presents subcultures you can experience and participate in. From Graffiti Jams and Hip-Hop artists with live music to BMX/Skate Lakejumps and even a Streetball area!
For those who want to take it easy, there is plenty of space in the Chillout Area to enjoy the panoramic view of the lake with a delicious ice cream, recharge their batteries for the next performers in the Food Court or take part in one of the numerous workshops.
There is also a separate Kids Playground for younger visitors to get rid of excess energy.
Visitors who want to skate themselves alongside the event can of course do so in a separate area on a miniramp or a pumptrack onsite. Various skate shops provide supplies or stock up on new roller sports enthusiasts directly on location.
There will even be a cinema where previously submitted short films will be presented and evaluated… So anyone looking for a bit of variety between the runs of the various skate classes will be well catered for on the event area.
The location of the regatta course, together with the range of activities on offer, will help to create a slight festival feeling this time.
